Obituary for Thomas Wayne Lueb

Thomas Wayne  Lueb
Tom passed away peacefully with the love of God on his lips, on Friday October 28, 2016 at the age of 83. He was born on the family farm outside Colorado Springs, Colorado. Tom graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Colorado Springs and attended the University of Colorado. He enlisted in the Army in 1953 and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. On December 27, 1958, Tom married the love of his life, Elaine, and together they had three children. He was active in their activities at the White Rock YMCA, including Indian Guides, Indian Princesses, and coaching his son’s s soccer and baseball teams. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and listening to opera while working on projects in the garage. He retired from Texas Instruments in 1991. Tom and Elaine enjoyed traveling in their retirement especially to national parks and historic sites. He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine (2010). Tom is survived by his daughter Cindy, sons Steve and Greg and his wife Carole and their children Michael and Ashley. Visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm with a Rosary at 7 pm on Wednesday, November 9th at St. Patrick Catholic Church (9643 Ferndale Road, Dallas, TX). Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am, Thursday, November 10th, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with burial at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
